  1. I prefer the Mato legend, and then only second to my own made-up origin story.

By the way, I don’t see a photo here. Perhaps you meant to have only words, but just in case . . . no photo.

  2. I don’t see a photo either, but I did see it over on Leanne’s MM2 page.

I camped at Devil’s Tower in the early 80’s. It’s a really neat formation, and lovely park. I’ve always hoped to get back there one day.

    • I fixed the problem, thanks Deborah. My goof-up. When we were there, the park was closed for a controlled burn due to an infestation (beetles as I recall). I had to photograph from a distance, but with the beautiful sky, it was ok.

      • I notice more and more trees affected in Yosemite by some beetle or pest too. It’s sad.
Oh yes, the image you made is lovely. Going to print and frame it? I think you should. πŸ™‚

      • Yellowstone was also affected by the beetles. A lot of trees were destroyed. Sad to see. Thank you for encouraging me to print! I really need to print more. I am set up for printing up to 17×24, but it generally takes last place after shooting and editing. Need to change that!

      • I’ve been printing more. It’s pretty neat to see my images in print and bigger than a 4×6 inch snapshot.
I rotate a few images in frames, and I’m planning to put up a gallery of sorts in my long entry hall.

      • Thank sounds really nice. I have a collection of my old black and whites from my film days on the wall going up the stairs. It’s really a nice feeling. I plan to frame more of my digital work. That’s why I got the printer. I am still learning, with a lot of ideas that haven’t materialized yet. I also have requests from family and friends 😊.

  3. Fantastic shot, Pam! Great sky. I was so glad we decided to stop here on one of our cross-country drives. Was completely socked in but we waited and finally got a glimpse. Quite astounding.

    • Thanks, Jane! It’s always great to hear from you. I’m glad you at least got a peek through the clouds. We were surprised to know that the park was closed when we got there. But, I still enjoyed seeing it from outside the gates.
