I recently visited Anza Borrego Desert Park in the Colorado Desert, which contrary to its name is in Southern California! On this day, it was a withering 115 degrees Fahrenheit (46 degrees Celsius). I’ve never been able to stay out too long in extreme heat, but surprisingly, I saw a brave soul riding a bicycle nearby while I was taking my shot. even in monochrome it looks too hot for me!! Great image Pam.
Wonderfully composed! Gaul, it gets out there. When I was little girl we lived out there in the desert. I was Marine Brat. My dad was stationed in the middle of nowhere’sville Mohave Desert. The heat didn’t bother me then. It sure does today! 🙂
I think a lot of people are affected by the heat, including me. The weekend in the desert was planned way in advance by a photo club I belong to, but due to the heat only a few ended up going. The goal was to shoot the Milky Way, which I had never tried before. I enjoyed it and it wasn’t hot at night.
Great place to shoot the MW too! Isn’t it fun! Addicting too. I don’t like the heat either.
😊
Forgot to say thanks, glad you like the composition :-).
