I meant to visit the lighthouse and go inside. But I never moved from this place along the way, an alternate view of the lighthouse and coastline. I took in the panorama until time to race to the ferry for the last ride of the day back to mainland Tasmania.
After a short ferry ride from mainland Tasmania to Maria Island, we hopped on our rented bicycles and headed for the cliffs. I had heard about their colors and striations and was looking forward to visiting with my camera. My husband, Mike, did his best to steady me while I stood on slippery rocks to get the shot. A team effort!
