This meandering river, the Murchison, is one of the longest in Australia. Here it winds through a red rock gorge before flowing into the Indian Ocean. People say the rock formation in the center of the river resembles the head of a hawk.
And who knew there would be so many gorges to challenge my fear of heights! The hawk’s head is the small formation in the middle of the river—I think 😊.
I can’t see the hawk head, but the red in the soil, rocks remind of the US southwest! Who knew!!
