These stately limestone stacks off the southeastern coast of Australia are constantly changing due to erosion. In fact, even the number of stacks is changing but the iconic name is not. Today, only eight Apostles remain in this famous cluster, but many more stacks stand along the coastline.
great vista!!
Thank you, Hannah!
Love the subdued lighting. Well done. 🙂
Thank you, Frank! I also did a long exposure, but in this case I preferred seeing the breakers and the puffy clouds.
At first glance I thought this was a beach in California that I saw over 40 years ago. I was so impressed by the rocks and the waves I did a painting of it after none of my photos turned out. https://elizabatz.wordpress.com/2018/05/16/waves-liquid-in-motion/
I know what you mean about photos not measuring up to your feelings about the place. You did a great job of expressing your ideas and feelings about the waves you saw in California through various artistic expressions. Thank you for sharing your experience.
